NEW SCHOOL RECORD HIGHLIGHTS DAY ONE

AUSTIN, TX – Pierre Lear rewrote his own history and became the first Jackrabbit to ever run the men's 110-meter hurdles in under 14 seconds while competing at one of SDSU's four meets on Friday.
Lear clocked a 13.92 in the event timed finals for second place in his heat and third place overall at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin. His blazing time comes in what was just his first race of the outdoor season.
Also competing at the Texas Relays was Savannah Risseeuw, who ran a time of 14.56 in the women's 100-meter hurdles for seventh in her heat and 51st overall.
BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
In San Marcos, Texas, Catylynn Duff represented SDSU in section B of the women's shot put. She tied for fourth place with a mark of 43-08.50.
Rich-Ann Archer clocked a 24.60 in the 200-meter dash for sixth in her heat and 31st overall in the tightly contested event.
Reid Pierzinski took third place overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.04 while Manny Phoulom-Smith finished seventh with a 53.12.
Connor Powers tied for 12th place in the high jump with a clearance of 6-07.50, which tied his personal best.
On Thursday, Faith Leiseth finished in 22nd place in the discus throw with a mark of 144-02.00 while Duff took 29th with a 134-04.00.
Ethan Fischer threw a 144-09.00 for 39th place in the men's discus.
STANFORD INVITATIONAL
Tom Breuckman took second place in section five of the men's 1500-meter run with a time of 3:48.87.
Multiple Jackrabbits competed in different sections of the men's 5000-meter run, beginning with Max Selbach. He took fourth place in his heat in a personal best time of 14:10.10, which is now ninth in school history.
Ben Olson ran a 14:10.09 for 12th place in section four of the event while Joseph Minor-Williams took fourth in section three with a personal best time of 13:52.99 that is now second in school history.
Leah Hansen ran a 16:37.60 in section three of the women's 5000-meter run for 19th place.
MIKE FANELLI TRACK CLASSIC
Grace Waage clocked a personal best 4:34.69 for fifth place in section two and 21st place overall of the women's 1500-meter run. Tori Glazier took 10th place in section four with a 4:37.53 for a 37th overall finish.
Nicole Greyer led the way for SDSU in the women's 5000-meter run, running a huge PR of 17:04.97 for sixth in section two of the event and 18th overall. Caitlin Bright ran a personal best 17:15.11 for ninth in section two and 25th overall while Mya Kizer was seventh in section three with a time of 17:27.46 for 41st overall.
SDSU will resume competition at the Bobcat Invitational, the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, while also participating at the Central Nebraska Challenge in Kearney, NE.
