TRACK RECORDS MAJOR FRIDAY RESULTS

DES MOINES, IA – Three meets in California and Iowa gave South Dakota State track and field the opportunity to turn in multiple big marks on Friday, which resulted in a second day of success for the Jackrabbits.
BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
Competition in Azusa began late Thursday night with the men's 3000-meter steeplechase, where Cody Larson led the way for SDSU.
He finished 55th with a personal best time of 9:02.66 that is now the seventh best mark in school history. Carter Knaus also earned a personal best with a time of 9:06.98 for 66th place while Lucas Caminiti took 123rd with a 9:31.71.
Joseph Minor-Williams started off a series of 10k races by breaking the school record with his new personal best time of 28:43.31 for 13th place in heat one of the Invite 10k.
In heat two, Ben Olson clocked a 30:32.08 for a 19th place finish while in heat two of the women's invite 10k, Leah Hansen finished in 11th place with a time of 34:14.80.
As for Friday action Cougar Stadium, the SDSU women quickly found success in the 800-meter run, where three runners earned top 50 finishes.
Grace Waage led the way in 20th place with a personal best time of 2:12.29 while Tori Glazier finished 42nd in 2:14.00 and Claire Beckman came 45th with a 2:14.08. Harley Fischer (2:16.06) and Emma Ecker (2:16.88) each also earned new personal bests.
Tom Breuckman won his heat of the 800-meter run with a personal best time of 1:50.62, now eighth all-time at SDSU, and finished 64th overall.
Mya Kizer clocked a personal best 17:12.50 in heat one of the Open A 5000-meter run for 15th place as Caitlin Bright ran a PR of 17:02.79 for 12th place in heat two. Nicole Greyer took 26th in heat three with her time of 17:29.67.
Cody Larson won heat three of the men's Open A 5000-meter run with his personal best time of 14:06.92, which now the seventh fastest time in school history.

A majority of Friday's action occurred at Drake University for SDSU, where many athletes earned new personal bests and top 10 finishes.
The first results of the day featured all six competing Jackrabbits placing in the finals of the women's triple jump. Annie Wendt won the event with a distance of 39-03.00 as Emma Smith took runner-up with a 36-09.50 and Sydney Mouw finished third with a 35-08.00.
Shae Campbell jumped a personal best 34-09.50 for fifth place and Camryn Brinkman marked a 34-06.75 for sixth place to round out the SDSU placers.
Jordan Stoddard won the long jump with her personal best mark of 18-08.50 as Wendt took third with a 18-07.25 and Campbell came ninth with a jump of 17-02.75.
Stoddard also cleared 5-04.00 for fifth place in the high jump and Hadley Carlson took eighth place with a personal best-tying mark of 5-03.00.
Greta Johnson cleared a height of 9-06.25 for a 21st place finish in the pole vault.
Jessica Boekelheide ran a 26.61 for 16th place in the 200-meter dash while Emily Rystrom took 20th with a 26.86. The duo then each competed in the 400-meter dash, where Rystrom took ninth place in 58.75 seconds and Boekelheide finished 14th with a personal best 59.67.
Laura Bogue led the way for SDSU in the 400-meter hurdles, taking fifth place in a personal best 1:04.90, while Abby Hughes finished seventh with a 1:06.94.
Nina Dawson finished 13th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:25.07 while Kadense Dooley ran a 5:05.46 in the women's 1500-meter for 15th place.
Bridget Henne ran a 19:00.99 for seventh place in the 5000-meter run as Malorie Schmoll represented SDSU in the 3000-meter steeplechase and took sixth place with a 11:49.36.
Amanda Pettersson took 11th in the shot put with her outdoor personal best mark of 42-06.75 while Meghan Hettinga (42-06.25) came 12th and Paige Haakenson (40-04.25) was 13th.
In the discus, True Thorne represented SDSU in the finals and finished in sixth place with a 146-05.00 as Marianne Robin recorded a 161-04.00 for sixth place in the hammer throw.
On the men's side, Dominick Etherington took second place in the shot put with his personal best mark of 58-11.25 that is now third all-time at SDSU. Wyatt Seagren also qualified for the event finals and earned an outdoor personal best of 53-04.50 for fifth.
Ethan Fischer took fourth place in the discus throw finals with a 173-04.00 that is seventh all-time at SDSU while Seagren came sixth with a 172-00.00, which is now eighth in school history.
Hunter Wallster finished in fourth place of the hammer throw finals with his mark of 194-03.00.
On the track, Ty Kadlec finished in 13th place overall of the 100-meter dash with an 11.48 while Caden Plasier clocked an 11.73 for 21st place.
Andrew Law clocked a 16.37 in the 110-meter hurdles for a 21st place finish.
Kudra Nzibariza finished third in the 200-meter dash with a 22.49 as Kadlec took ninth in 23.24 and Plasier was 20th in 23.83 seconds.
Nzibariza also ran a 50.41 for sixth place in the 400-meter dash as AJ Josephson took 28th in 52.80 seconds.
Andrew Moeller took 16th in the 800-meter run, clocking a 1:59.24 while in the 1500-meter run, Nathan Notgrass took seventh place overall with a time of 4:01.41.
BEACH INVITATIONAL
Matthew Katz won Friday's pole vault field with a mark of 16-05.50 while Jaden Peters took third place with a 15-11.75.
Connor Powers won the high jump with his height of 6-05.00 while on the women's side, Layne Kirkendool took eighth place in the same event with a clearance of 5-03.25.
Weekend action will conclude on Saturday with more events at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa and the Beach Invitational in Long Beach.
