BROOKINGS, S.D. — The South Dakota State men's basketball program has pieced together a 15-game non-conference schedule en route to finalizing the Jackrabbits' full slate for the 2023-24 season which the program announced Friday.

SDSU will host seven home contests – including one exhibition – outside of Summit League play during its upcoming season.Â

The Jackrabbits make their public debut in the final year of Frost Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 1, when they face the University of Mary in their lone exhibition matchup. SDSU fans will have an opportunity to see the Jackrabbits at home for the first two games of their regular season. The Jacks host Akron in their home and season opener on Monday, Nov. 6, then take on Dakota Wesleyan on Nov. 8.Â

The following two weeks sees SDSU hit the road for a combined four games. SDSU travels to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State at Bramlage Coliseum on Nov. 13. The Wildcats are coming off a season in which they advanced to the Elite Eight.Â

The next week features the already announced Jacksonville Classic on Nov. 19-20. The two-day event in St. Augustine, Fla., released today that SDSU will face UCF to open the tournament. The  Jackrabbits take on either Charlotte or George Mason in their second contest.Â

The Jacks will stay in the southern part of the United States and head to Hattiesburg, Miss., to match up against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Nov. 22.Â

South Dakota State stays in-state for its next three contests. Mount Marty will pay a visit for a second consecutive season to Frost Arena for a meeting on Monday, Nov. 27. SDSU then heads to the previously announced neutral-site matchup in the Sanford Pentagon on Friday, Dec. 1, to play Towson. Kent State, the 2023 Mid-American Conference champion and NCAA Tournament participant, visits Brookings on Dec. 5.

The Jackrabbits travel to Wichita, Kan., to play in a neutral-site affair as they take on the Wichita State Shockers in the downtown facility INTRUST Bank Arena on Dec. 9.Â

SDSU hosts Mayville State in Frost Arena on Dec. 14 before the squad heads to the WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational in El Paso, Texas, from Dec. 20-21. The Jackrabbits open the two-day event against Wyoming in the Don Haskins Center. The second game of the tournament will see SDSU pitted against either host UTEP or Norfolk State.Â

The Jacks open the league schedule on New Year's Eve at home versus North Dakota. They take a quick reprieve from the league slate by participating in the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge with a matchup at Weber State (Jan. 3) as well as a home contest versus Montana State (Jan. 6).Â
