FALCON HEIGHTS, MN – The South Dakota State men's cross country took 10
th place in the team standings in an elite competition field at the Roy Griak Invitational on Friday.
SDSU finished tenth overall in the team standings, led by
Carson Noecker's 15
th place finish in 24:38.7 for the highest placing by a Summit League athlete.
Josh Becker was next for the Jacks as he clocked a 25:26.2 for 63
rd and
Cody Larson came 69
th with a 25:37.5.
Daniel Burkhalter and Will Lohr rounded out the top five scoring runners for SDSU in 78
th (25:48.0) and 92
nd place (26:04.1), respectively.
Jackson Dutcher ran a 26:14.6 for 103
rd,
Christian Noble was 108
th with a 26:24.4 and
Luke Johnson finished 155
th in a time of 28:09.9.
174 athletes competed in the field of 18 teams for the Merrill Fischbein 8k at the Les Bolstad Golf Course.
The SDSU men finished tenth in the team standings with 278 points and the highest team finish by a Summit League squad. California Baptist won the men's 8k with 46 points.
