NORTH SIOUX CITY, SD – The South Dakota State women's cross country team finished fifth overall while two Jackrabbits competed in the men's 8k at the Briar Cliff Invitational on Saturday morning at the Adams Nature Preserve.
Emma Gonzalez led the women in the 6k with her 16
th place finish and personal best time of 22:22.6 as teammate
Emma Ecker finished close behind in 19
th place with a time of 22:40.3.
Nina Dawson was next for SDSU as she clocked a PR of 22:48.4 for 22
nd place and
Jenna Soine finished 36
th in a personal best 23:05.7 for 36
th.
Kadense Dooley rounded out the scoring runners in 50
th place with a time of 23:28.4.
Also competing for SDSU were

Hannah Neusch (81

th, 25:07.2, PR).
The Jackrabbit women finished fifth in the team standings with 134 points.
On the men's side, two athletes competed in the 8k and finished in the top 80 out of 217 competitors.
Mason McDonald finished 44
th with a time of 26:05.5 while Andrew Moeller took 78
th in 26:53.3.
