South Dakota State hosts Denver Saturday afternoon in Summit League action at Frost Arena.
The Jackrabbits are 21-2 all-time against the Pioneers and have won five consecutive meetings. SDSU dominated the most recent contest - an 82-34 victory at Frost in February 2023.
Denver is 4-11 on the season and 1-1 in Summit League games. The Pioneers are 1-6 on the road this year. The Pios did not play Thursday night. Denver's three-game losing streak dates back to a loss at Oral Roberts on New Year's Eve.
South Dakota State is 10-5 on the year and 2-0 in Summit League action. The Jacks went 2-0 in the Big Sky-Summit Challenge with wins over Northern Arizona and Montana State. Paige Meyer, the reigning Summit League Player of the Week, averaged 24.5 points at a .593 clip in last week's wins.
KEY STORYLINES
- SDSU brings a four-game win streak into Saturday's Summit League matchup at Frost Arena. The Jackrabbits are 6-1 at home this season.
- The Jacks are 10-5 on the year with four of five losses coming to ranked teams.

- Paige Meyer leads the team in assists (3.2 APG) and steals (1.5 SPG). She is second scoring (15.0 PPG) and field goal shooting (.477).
- The Jackrabbits average 5.2 blocks per game as a team, led by Brooklyn Meyer (2.3), Tori Nelson (1.5) and Mesa Byom (1.1). The trio holds the top three spots in the Summit individual rankings.
- Madison Mathiowetz averages 10.7 points per game on the season but is averaging 18.5 points at a .682 clip over two Summit League games
- Tori Nelson ranks fifth all-time on SDSU's career games played chart (139). She has started every game this year and in each of the previous two seasons.
- Madysen Vlastuin plays more than 31 minutes per game and contributes 6.7 points on average. She is .406 from beyond the arc this year and 28 of her 36 made field goals this year have come from the 3-point line.
- South Dakota State is 51-1 in the Summit League regular season over the last four seasons, including 23-24. State was picked to win the Summit League regular season in the conference's preseason poll with 27 first-place votes.
