BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State cross country opens the second half of its regular season hosting the SDSU Classic at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, S.D. Friday night.

HEAD COACH ROD DEHAVEN

"We are excited to host the SDSU Classic on Friday evening. We are grateful for the teams that are electing to compete at this meet that started back in 2005. We are grateful to the folks at Edgebrook Golf Course who have allowed cross country meets at this venue since 1976. Specifically, this meet gives us an opportunity to test ourselves coming off the Griak Invitational where our team expectations weren't completely realized. Alex and I look forward to seeing how our teams respond in a smaller meet with quality competition."

Information | Course Map

The SDSU Classic has been held at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, S.D. for almost 20 years dating back to 2005. Last year, Carson Noecker set the course record for the Jay Dirksen 8K when he finished first with a time of 24:17. On the women's side, Erin Teschuk set the 6K course record in 2015 with a time of 20:46.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION

Spectators are asked to park in the field south of 3M, north of the golf course. Spectators may also park at the University Mall approximately three-eighths of a mile away from the course. Additionally, the Edgebrook Golf Course requests that spectators leave all pets at home in order to maintain the integrity of the course.

ATHLETES TO WATCH

Carson Noecker led the Jackrabbits last meet, posting a top-10 finish at the Roy Griak Invitational among runners from several Power Four schools.
