South Dakota State is set to take on Georgia Tech and Oregon at the North Shore Showcase in Laie, Hawaii Saturday and Tuesday, respectively.
The Jackrabbits enter the tournament with a 3-1 record. SDSU's only loss was a 75-71 defeat to No. 16 Duke at First Bank & Trust Arena. Georgia Tech is 4-0 on the season and all four wins have been by a significant margin. Most recently, GT topped Georgia Tech 83-67 in Atlanta. Oregon is 6-0 heading into the North Shore Showcase. Oregon has a 76-74 win over then-No.12 Baylor on its resume and is No. 23 in the latest AP Poll (November 18).
JACKRABBIT SUMMARY
South Dakota State enters the week with a 3-1 record in 2024-25. The Jacks have a ranked win over then-No. 21 Creighton on their resume and a loss to then-No.16 Duke.

Paige Meyer also tallies 5.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game as the Jackrabbits' point guard.
Mesa Byom comes off the bench to add 8.5 points and a team-high 6.5 boards per game.
Madison Mathiowetz scores 7.0 points per game to round out the top five scorers.
Kallie Theisen has started all four games and is tied for the team lead with 6.5 rebounds per game. She also averages 4.0 points.
SDSU returns 87 percent of its scoring from the 2023-24 season, including 93 percent of its 3-point buckets, and 85 percent of its rebounds from 2023-24.
KEY STORYLINES
- South Dakota State joins Georgia Tech and Oregon for the North Shore Showcase November 23-26 in Laie, Hawaii. Combined, these teams enter the tournament 14-1 on the season.
- SDSU is 3-1 on the year with its lone loss coming to No. 16 Duke by four points at First Bank & Trust Arena last weekend. Three of SDSU's four contests have been decided by five points or fewer.
- The Jacks are shooting 47.8 percent from the floor over four games and rank 33rd nationally in field goal shooting. They are nearly 40 percent from the 3-point line and rank 28th.
- Six Jackrabbits have scored at least 10 points at least once over the first four games. Six players have tallied at least five rebounds in a game this season.
- SDSU was voted No. 25 in the Nov. 12 version of the Coaches Poll but is now receiving votes in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll. The Ducks will be the Jacks third ranked opponent of the season. Oregon is No. 23 in the Nov. 18 AP Poll and took over No. 25 from the Jackrabbits in the Coaches Poll on Nov. 19.

- Brooklyn Meyer has picked up right where she left off a season ago, averaging 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while shooting 55 percent. She scored a season-high 25 against Duke last week, four off her career high.
- Paige Meyer is doing a little bit of everything for SDSU, averaging 11.0 points, 5.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per contest.
- Haleigh Timmer returns for her redshirt junior season after missing all of 2023-24 with an injury. She averages 13.0 points on 54 percent shooting.
- Mesa Byom comes off the bench to contribute 8.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
- SDSU head coach Aaron Johnston won the 600th game of his 25-year SDSU career against then-No. 21 Creighton last week. Johnston's now-601 wins is 15th in the country among active DI head coaches.
