South Dakota State hosts Northern Iowa Saturday afternoon in the second of a three-game homestand for the Jackrabbits.
The Jackrabbits are 8-2 on the season with five consecutive wins, including a top-25 win over Oregon and a pair of victories in the Summit League-Big Sky Challenge last week. Most recently, SDSU topped Dakota Wesleyan, 76-48, and got 26 points from
Haleigh Timmer in that game.
Northern Iowa is 5-4 on the year, but all four Panther losses have been by six points or fewer. The Panthers have an 87-75 home win over then-No. 8 Iowa State on their resume. UNI most recently beat South Dakota 78-59 at home in Cedar Falls. Maya McDermott leads UNI and is sixth in the country with 23.0 points per game.

- South Dakota State hosts another mid-major foe in Northern Iowa Saturday afternoon at First Bank & Trust Arena. This is the eighth meeting between these teams over the last 10 seasons.
