South Dakota State hits the road for two consecutive games as the Jackrabbits continue Summit League play. The Jacks take on Kansas City at 7 p.m. on Thursday and follow it with a matchup at Omaha on Saturday evening.Â

The Jackrabbits wrapped up a three-game homestand in Frost Arena this past Saturday against Oral Roberts. SDSU came back from an 11-point deficit early in the first half to eventually close out an 83-72 victory over the Golden Eagles. A one-point game became a 78-67 margin in a nearly three-minute span with SDSU using a 12-2 run at the end of the contest to jump its advantage to double digits. Both teams shot nearly 52% from the field, but the Jackrabbits took advantage of 15 ORU turnovers to SDSU's eight.

Luke Appel led four double-digit scorers for the Jackrabbits with a season-high 25 points. Appel has now scored double digits in five of his last six outings. He's 49.3% shooting during that span which includes a double-double versus NDSU on Feb. 1.

William Kyle III registered his second straight double-double in SDSU's win over ORU. Kyle III has scored double digits in 12 straight contests and in 13 of the last 14 games. Kyle III is averaging a team-high 6.6 rebounds, including a 7.7 clip in Summit League action. He ranks 12th in the nation individually in field goal percentage (63.2%).

Charlie Easley scored 18 points while recording five assists and five steals in the matchup versus ORU. Easley has made it into double figures in seven of the last eight games. He ranks atop the Summit League and 12th in the country in steals per game with a 2.4 per contest mark.

Zeke Mayo continues to be the Jackrabbits' top scorer averaging 18.7 per game. He also averages 20.8 points across 10 Summit League contests. Mayo is sixth in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.18). He's pacing SDSU with 3.7 assists per game.

SDSU is 22-6 all-time over Kansas City. The Jacks extended their win streak to 10 over the Roos on Jan. 25 with a 75-66 victory in Brookings. SDSU led by as many as 15 in the second half before Kansas City took a 64-63 lead. The Jackrabbits ended the matchup on a 9-0 scoring run over the last 2:15 to close out the home win.

The Roos own an 11-15 overall record and are 5-6 in The Summit League. Their conference record has them tied for fifth in the standings with three other teams. Kansas City has the top scoring defense in the conference limiting opponents to 70.4 points per game, along with the top marks in three-point percentage defense (32.9%) and turnovers forced per game (12.3). The Roos also boast the second-best rebound margin (4.0) and blocks per game mark (4.0).Â
