Zeke Mayo helped lead the Jackrabbits to two victories recently and for his efforts was named on Monday, March 4, as the TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Basketball Peak Performer of the Week by the conference office.Â

Mayo was SDSU's top scorer in wins over North Dakota and North Dakota State.Â

Mayo scored 26 points, had eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in SDSU's win in Grand Forks Thursday. His performance propelled the Jackrabbits to The Summit League regular season title, the program's ninth in the previous 12 seasons.Â

The Lawrence, Kan., native continued his strong play in Fargo on Saturday. Mayo recorded 19 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists and a steal.Â

Combined between the two games, Mayo went 18-for-29 (.621) from the floor and 8-for-14 (.571) from 3-point range.

The weekly honor is the second of the 2023-24 season for Mayo. He previously earned the accolade three times during the 2022-23 season.

South Dakota State begins its Summit League Men's Basketball Championship on Saturday, March 9. The Jackrabbits will face either Oral Roberts or South Dakota at 6 p.m.Â
