COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – South Dakota State finished with a double-digit edge in shots against Colorado College in their match on Thursday, but the Tigers got one to find the back of the net as they claimed a 1-0 victory over the Jackrabbits at Stewart Field.Â

SDSU had an array of opportunities over the course of the meeting against the Mountain West Conference foe. The first 45 minutes saw the Jacks hold a 13-3 advantage in shots over the Tigers as each team put just one shot on goal.Â

The Tigers gained control of the match in the 66th minute. The home side took a free kick from midfield and sent a pass deep into the SDSU box. In a sea of players within the box, Colorado College's Kendall Memoly got to the bounding ball and kicked it into the goal to put the Tigers up 1-0.Â

The Jackrabbits pressured the Tiger defense the next 24 minutes. SDSU was unable to get a shot on goal until the 90th minute when
Avery Murdzek struck one towards Colorado College's Regan Wallace, however the goalkeeper handled the play to keep the clean sheet intact. Â

SDSU finished the match with a 21-9 edge in shots over Colorado College. The Tigers produced five shots on goal to the Jackrabbits' two on the night.
Mia Bosch was the other Jack to place one on net which came in the first half.Â

South Dakota State fell to 1-2 overall on the season in the defeat. Colorado College earned its first victory and stands at a 1-2 mark after three matches. Â

- South Dakota State keeper Emma Knack made her first start of the season. She made four saves in the contest.
