SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Summit League office released its men's and women's basketball conference schedules on Wednesday for the 2024-25 season. Each respective conference member's men's and women's teams will take part in a 16-game league slate beginning in the New Year.Â

The South Dakota State men's squad will open the 2025 calendar year on Thursday, Jan. 2, by hosting Denver. The matchup will be the Jackrabbits' first conference game ever to be contested in the newly renovated First Bank & Trust Arena.

The Jackrabbits will host conference games on Jan. 16 (North Dakota), Jan. 18 (Oral Roberts), Jan. 25 (South Dakota), Feb. 6 (St. Thomas), Feb. 13 (Omaha), Feb. 19 (North Dakota State) and Feb. 22 (Kansas City).Â

SDSU travels for league matchups that are set for Jan. 8 (St. Thomas), Jan. 11 (Omaha), Jan. 23 (Kansas City), Jan. 30 (NDSU), Feb. 1 (North Dakota), Feb. 15 (South Dakota), Feb. 27 (Oral Roberts) and March 1 (Denver).Â

A majority of the Jackrabbits' conference games take place on either Thursday or Saturday. SDSU has two Wednesday meetings during the course of the league schedule which includes its Jan. 8 contest at St. Thomas, as well as the Feb. 19 game in First Bank & Trust Arena versus NDSU.

Season tickets for the 2024-25 season are expected to go on sale in September. The South Dakota State Athletics department will host an open house on Sept. 27 to celebrate the First Bank & Trust Arena renovation project, giving members of the public a sneak peek at the new home competition venue for Jackrabbit basketball, volleyball and wrestling.Â
