BROOKINGS, S.D. - South Dakota State outscored Omaha by 30 points in the second half to top the Mavericks 93-55 Thursday night at First Bank & Trust Arena.
The Jacks led by only eight points at halftime, but started the third quarter with six straight to go back up by double-digits and didn't look back from there. The lead stretched to 22 by the end of the third and to 40 points by the final buzzer.
South Dakota State has won 50 consecutive Summit League regular season contests. The Jackrabbits improve o 13-3 overall and 3-0 in Summit League action while the Mavericks fall to 9-6 on the year and 1-1 in conference games.
Every Jackrabbit got into the scoring column against the Mavs, paced by
Brooklyn Meyer's 21-point, 10-rebound double-double. The junior surpassed 1,000 points for her career, becoming the 43rd player in history to achieve the feat. She also dished a pair of assists and had one block.
Meyer was joined in double figures by three others.
Haleigh Timmer put up 17 points to go with five rebounds and two steals.
Madison Mathiowetz added 13 points, six rebounds and two assists while
Mesa Byom just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine boards.
Paige Meyer chipped in seven points and five assists. She also tallied three of the Jackrabbits' season-high 12 steals.
Emilee Fox connected on a pair of 3-pointers for six points and gave out three helpers.
Madysen Vlastuin also had two treys.
Harriet Ford came off the bench to score 12 points for Omaha on 6-of-6 shooting.

- SDSU put up a season-high 93 points and shot better than 50 percent for the sixth time this season.
- Omaha was held to .328 shooting from the field, a season low. 93 points is the second-most points Omaha has given up in a game this season
- The Jackrabbits' record against the Mavericks improves to 56-31 all-time
- Junior Brooklyn Meyer is the 43rd Jackrabbit in program history to surpass 1,000 career points. She joins senior Paige Meyer in the club. Redshirt junior Haleigh Timmer has scored 928 in her career.
