COLUMBIA, Mo. —Cody Larson claimed a top-10 finish to lead South Dakota State to place 17th, while Meghan Ford debuted her senior season, leading the women's team to finish 22nd at the Pre-Nationals Invitational Friday morning.
HEAD COACH ROD DEHAVEN "It was a great race for Cody today. We wanted top-level competition to have him kind of match up with some of these athletes and he did a great job of that. I think all in all, the boys battled hard and got a decent result without a full lineup. I knew we'd probably be a little shorthanded, but still strong efforts from the guys."
ASSISTANT COACH ALEX MUNTEFERING "I thought our women had a good solid day coming off of the Griak as our last time racing with a full squad. This was definitely a step in the right direction. We worked on some pack running today and I think that made a big difference for us. The team and I feel really good about the direction that we're heading going into the championship season."
