BEFORE SDSU: Was a four-time conference and district championship in cross country... earned All-Conference and 1A First Team All-State all four years of cross country competition... Earned Academic All State, Elite All-State and 1A Des Moines Register All-Iowa Team in 2024... She competed at the state cross country meet all four years where she took third place twice (2021, 2022), one fourth-place finish (2023), and a silver medal (2024)... Helped team win the district title in 2022 and 2024... On the track, Peterson medaled at State seven of her 12 qualifications... Was a ten-time district champion and seven-time conference champion... Set four meet records and three school records... Helped team to win the district title in 2023... Outside of running, Peterson played softball, basketball, and volleyball and was a National Honor Society member (2023-25)... She is the 6th generation to grow up on her family's farm... Daughter of Tim and Kathy Peterson.
