Dan Georgalas notched the 100th victory of his head coaching career and
Rylee Martin surpassed 2,000 career assists Thursday night as the South Dakota State volleyball team swept Kansas City at the Swinney Center.
Set scores against the Roos went 25-19, 25-19, 25-20. The Jackrabbits remain unbeaten in league action at 15-0 and are 21-3 overall. KC is 3-24 on the year and 2-12 in the Summit League.
Martin dished 35 assists as the Jackrabbits hit .215 for the match. She also tallied a team-high 12 digs and had one block assist.
Sylvie Zgonc paced the offense with 18 kills while hitting .400. The junior was also perfect in serve receive with 22 receptions and no errors. She had five digs and two block assists.
Hannah Klein and
Madison Burr added eight kills and three block assists apiece. Burr also tallied a solo block and an ace.
Sydni Schetnan hit .500 with seven kills and one error on 12 swings. She also had four block assists.
Rachel Wieber posted 10 digs, followed by
Joslyn Richardson and
Hannah Klein with six each. Richardson put down two ace serves.
SDSU's defense held the Roos to a .057 attack rate. Mia Weaver led the Roos with seven kills. Alaina Larson had 11 digs.

- SDSU is now 18-12 all time against Kansas City and 7-3 in the Dan Georgalas era.
- Dan Georgalas is 100-64 for his head coaching career, all at South Dakota State. His first season was the 2020-21 season that was played in the spring due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Â
