South Dakota State returns to Brookings to host Ball State Sunday afternoon in a matchup between top-10 mid-major programs.
The Jackrabbits are 9-2 overall and coming off a gritty 59-57 win over Northern Iowa Wednesday night in Cedar Falls. The Jackrabbits trailed by nine at halftime and came all the way back to win in the fourth quarter.
Ball State is 8-3 on the year and most recently fell 93-62 to Louisville. Four Cardinals score at least 10 points per game, paced by Bree Salenbien's 16.8 points per contest. Salenbien is also Ball State's rebounding leader at 9.3 boards per game. The Cardinals are the third-ranked team in the country in rebounds per game (48.8) and hold their opponents to just .342 shooting this season, which is 24th in the country.
