PALM DESERT, Calif. - South Dakota State's
Ty Kretz fired a 69 (-3) for the second round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Tuesday at Classic Club.
Kretz's low round moved him into a tie for 13th place on the individual leaderboard. He was fairly steady Tuesday, tallying five birdies and two holes over par. Overall, Kretz is 5-under through 36 holes.
The Jackrabbits are in 12th place as a team, up one spot from Monday's finish. SDSU is +9 over the opening two rounds and will play the final 18 holes Wednesday.
Bryson Mercier is tied for 54th place with a +3 scorecard.
Jake Olson recorded an eagle Tuesday and is tied for 70th place (+7).
Tyler Seeling is one shot back, tied for 72nd place, and
Blake Schaper is tied for 78th place (+10).
Colorado Christian (-24) and Charlotte (-21) lead the team race. Colorado Christian's Sungyeop Cho leads the field with a -10 scorecard.
The final round of the Wyoming Desert Collegiate will be played Wednesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Pacific.
