COLUMBIA, Mo. - The South Dakota State men's golf team finished in ninth place at the Tiger Invitational Tuesday.Â
The Jackrabbits posted a +22 final team tally, finishing one shot behind Summit League foe South Dakota, which finished eighth. Missouri went seven-under over three rounds to win the team title.Â
Jake Olson had the best finish of the week for SDSU. The sophomore placed in a tie for 14th on the individual leaderboard, shooting +2 over 54 holes. He fired a 65 during the opening round to match the second lowest single round by a Jackrabbit in program history.Â
Tyler Seeling posted a +6 three-round scorecard, finishing tied for 36th.
Drew Teeter was one shot back from Seeling, tied for 46th place (+7).Â
Ty Adkins finished tied for 51st with a +8 final scorecard.
Bryson Mercier rounded out the tournament in a tie for 63rd (+11).Â
Missouri had four players finish inside the top-10. Missouri's Veikka Viskari captured the individual title at -6 overall.Â
NOTES
- SDSU finished fifth as a team on par-4 holes, averaging 4.08 shots.Â
- Jake Olson tallied 12 total birdies, which was tied for second among all participating players.Â
