EQUESTRIAN TO HOST OPEN HOUSE, INTRASQUAD MEET

The South Dakota State University equestrian team will host a pair of events this week to help usher in its 2026-27 season.
In conjunction with One Day for State across the entire university on Thursday, the team will host an open house at the DeHaan Equestrian Center from 3-5 p.m. The event will feature a meet-and-greet with student-athletes, pony rides and a variety of other activities, including a pony photo booth, paint-a-pony, horseshoes and treat-making.
Saturday, the squad is slated to hold its annual Yellow and Blue Scrimmage, starting at 9:30 a.m.
The DeHaan Equestrian Center is located at 1823 U.S. Highway 14 Bypass in Brookings.
The Jackrabbits officially open the season Sept. 17 with a head-to-head competition at Baylor.
