BEFORE SDSU: Anchored Mitchell Post 18's pitching staff during the American Legion season in 2019, going undefeated with a 6-0 record and posting a 1.38 ERA with 64 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched ... he furthered his all-state portfolio by batting .420 with two home runs and 53 runs batted in as a third baseman ... helped lead the Bridgewater-Emery-Ethan football team to the Class 11B state title as a high school senior ... also played basketball ... father, Tim, played football for the Jackrabbits
