MILWAUKEE, Wis. The South Dakota State University women's tennis team won three of the six singles matches Sunday morning to pick up a 4-3 victory over Chicago State University at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in Milwaukee, Wis.
Nicole Siebrasse put the Jacks on the board in singles competition defeating Erica Watkins?in two sets by a 6-1, 6-0 score. Amy Albrecht followed with a two-set 6-0, 6-0 victory over Ulanda Fulford at No. 5 singles. Freshman Kayla Pruitt closed out singles play winning by forfeit.
In doubles action, Siebrasse teamed with Kate Wylie to defeat Samantha Islas and Watkins, 8-1. Pruitt and Albrecht won the final doubles match by forfeit to give the Jacks a 2-1 advantage in doubles competition.
SDSU will next be in action April 1 when they take on Western Illinois. Start time for the match against WIU is set for 9 a.m. in Macomb, Ill.
