CEDAR FALLS, Iowa ? The South Dakota State University women's tennis team picked up its first dual victory of the season Saturday, downing Wartburg (Iowa), 6-1, in action at the Black Hawk Tennis Center.
The Jackrabbits, 1-8 overall, were originally scheduled to play Eastern Illinois on Saturday, but picked up the match against Wartburg upon their arrival in Cedar Falls on Friday. SDSU won five of the six singles matches and claimed two of three doubles matches for the final team point.
Emma Wylie, Jennifer Sondreal and Caitlin Brannen each were victorious in both singles and doubles action.
SDSU is scheduled to play Augustana Friday in Sioux Falls.
