OMAHA, Neb. -- South Dakota State received a victory from Nellie Bloomberg at No. 5 singles, but the Jackrabbit women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at Creighton Tuesday afternoon.
The Jackrabbits, who fell to 1-12 in dual competition this season, also received vicotries at No. 6 singles and NO. 3 doubles by default. Bloomberg won her match in straight sets, defeating Rachelle Shoji 6-3, 6-4.
SDSU closes out Summit League competition this weekend with five matches Friday through Sunday in Fort Wayne, Ind. The Jackrabbits open the cluster tournament Friday by facing Centenary (La.) and Western Illinois.
