SIOUX FALLS - The South Dakota State men's tennis team improved to 3-1 on the season after a 9-0 shutout victory over Augustana on Saturday night.

The most thrilling matchup of the night was a No. 1 singles between SDSU's Corey Paluch and Augie's Jared Drenkow. Paluch would drop the first set 6-7 (2-7) before coming back in the second with a 7-6 (7-4) victory of his own. The senior from Rapid City closed it out in the third set with a 10-2 win.

Justin Pyle in No. 2 singles and Jamie Dash in No. 3 singles each won 6-3, 6-4.

No. 4 Dominic Rossetto and No. 6 Dan Tully each won in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.

Alex Lauseng defeated his opponent in No. 5 singles with a 6-4, 6-3 straight sets victory

The Jacks begin a two week stay in Orlando on Tuesday vs. Presbyterian (S.C.) and will have 13 matches over the next two weeks.
