SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's tennis team couldn't get it done in doubles competition as they lost to Augustana Friday night 4-3.
SDSU (0-3) split the six singles matches with wins coming at #1, 2 and 5. Jenny Blackburne continued her strong start to her freshman campaign with a 6-2, 6-4 win over her #1 singles opponent.
#3 Bryna Nasenbeny also won in straight sets 6-0, 6-2, while #5 singles saw Bethany Goeden win a tightly contested match 7-5, 6-4.
The difference ended up being in the doubles where the Vikings (6-0) swept the Jacks by scores of 8-5, 8-3 and 9-7.
The Jacks are back in action on Sunday, March 6 as they travel to Orlando, Fla., for a weeks worth or matches starting with Sacred Heart (Conn.)
