ORLANDO, FLA. - A
day off wasn't enough to give the South Dakota State women's tennis team
the edge as they fell to Florida A&M 5-2 on Saturday.
SDSU took the doubles point thanks to an 8-4 victory for Bryna Nasenbeny and Bethany Goeden at #2 and an exciting 9-7 win at #3 for Natalia Medina and Megan McDougall.
The good news continued for the Jacks (2-6) at #1 singles as Jenny Blackburne fought back from a 6-7 first set loss to win the final two sets 6-3, 10-6.
SDSU lost four other singles matches in straight sets along with Nasenbeny dropping a 6-7, 6-4, 10-4 decision at #2 singles.
Both the men and women square off against Indianapolis on Sunday.
