GREELEY, Colo. - The South Dakota State men's tennis team swept a pair of Colorado schools over the weekend as they defeated Northern Colorado 5-2 on Friday and shutout Metro State 7-0 on Saturday.
The Jacks got the best of their former NCC foe by winning four of the six singles matches including a win from #1 Justin Pyle (7-6) (7-4), 6-4.
Freshman won at #3 and #4 as Carl Lundberg and Chris Baron both won by scores of 6-2, 6-2.
Dominic Rossetto rounded things out with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Travis Day at #6.
On Saturday, SDSU (10-10) won all nine matches played against Metro State with five of the six single victories coming in straight sets.
At #2 singles, Lundberg won 6-1, 6-0 as he leads the team with 12 wins during the spring.
James Thorp won his 10th match of the year with a 6-2, 6-2 win at #4.
The final men's match of the season is Friday, April 29th vs. St. Cloud State in Brookings.
