SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's tennis team won their second straight Summit League match with a 4-3 win over Western Illinois on Friday.
SDSU (5-11, 2-4 Summit) took the doubles point with an 8-4 win from Jenny Blackburne and Brooke Henry at #1 and an 8-1 victory from the #3 team of Natalia Medina and Katie Elifson.
In singles play, #3 Bryna Nasenbeny won in straight sets 6-1, 6-1, while #5 Megan McDougall cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win.
With the match tied at 3-3, it came down to #6 singles as Katie Elifson notched the fourth point for SDSU with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
The Jacks conclude the three day cluster with a pair of matches tomorrow. They start with IUPUI at 11:30 a.m. followed by IPFW an hour after the end of the first match.
