KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the third day in a row, the South Dakota State women's tennis team were blanked in Summit League play, this time with a 7-0 loss to Southern Utah.
The Jacks (3-10, 0-3 Summit) lost a couple of tough singles matches to the Thunderbirds (12-2, 5-1 Summit) as #5 Megan McDougall dropped set one 7-5 before falling in set two 6-1.
In #6 singles, Katie Elifson lost the first set 6-2 before battling back and just falling short in set two by the score of 7-5.
The Jackrabbits also dropped a close match at #1 doubles as Jenny Blackburne and Brooke Henry lost to Alex Ivanova and Olia Tatarchenko 8-6.
SDSU has the week off before getting back at it with five matches over three days in Brookings starting April 14th vs. Oral Roberts at 9 a.m. followed by Centenary at 2 p.m.
