Jacks suffer first Summit League setback

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- South Dakota State dropped its first Summit League defeat in Sunday's weekend finale against Denver 7-0.

In No. 1 doubles, Florencia Magni/Jenny Blackburne fell 8-5. Iasmin Rosa/Beatriz Souza and Ffion Davies/Tacy Haws-Lay followed suit, dropping decisions 8-1 and 8-3, respectively.

Denver continued to hold court in singles, as Magni and Blackburne fell 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-0, respectively.

Rosa and Davies fell 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0, while Souza fell 6-2, 6-1, as did Haws-Lay 6-3, 6-4.

SDSU closes out its regular season April 18-19.
