BROOKINGS, S.D. – Oct. 27, 2016 – The South Dakota State University women's basketball team had four starters score in double figures as the Jackrabbits recorded an 89-49 exhibition win over Minnesota Crookston Thursday night in front of 1,336 fans at Frost Arena.

Senior forward
Clarissa Ober led the Jackrabbits with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Junior forward
Ellie Thompson added 16 points. Sophomore guard
Madison Guebert scored 12 points, highlighted by three 3-point field goals, while junior guard
Macy Miller pitched in 11 points.

The teams were tied 13-13 with 4:03 to play in the first quarter before the Jackrabbits closed the quarter on a 15-2 run. Ober started the run with a conventional three-point play. Thompson capped a 10-0 run with two foul shots at 1:21 before Guebert closed the quarter with a 3-point field goal for a 28-15 lead.

Minnesota Crookston was led by Isieoma Odor's 12 points. Emily Gruber and Alison Hughes each added 10 points.

- Alexis Alexander had a game-high six assists, two steals and three rebounds.
- 10 of 11 Jackrabbits scored in the game.
- Freshman Sydney Tracy and Megan Bultsma had nine and six points, respectively.
- SDSU sports a 19-0 record in exhibition games since turning Division I. The most points scored were 105 in 2008 vs. Minnesota Crookston and the fewest were 63 vs. Bemidji State in 2010.
