After tough losses and a couple of injuries, the South Dakota State women's tennis team finished the Gopher Invitational with a top-10 finish over the weekend at the Baseline Tennis Courts in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
"This weekend was a true learning curve for our team. They have seen what other teams are doing and have found a measurement from where we are now, what we need to continue to do and how close we really are," first-year head coach
Joey Barnes said. "Many of us had to greet our "friend" as well as write our footnote to a well-fought chapter. I am pleased but not overly joyed."
