The South Dakota State women's basketball team returns to the road Saturday when it plays at Oral Roberts at 12:30 p.m. in the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Okla.
The Jackrabbits enter the game ranked No. 6 in the latest CollegeInsider Mid-Major poll while Oral Roberts is receiving votes.
SDSU is in a three-way tie for first in the Summit League standings with records of 13-4 overall and 4-1 in league play.
The Jackrabbits improved to 7-1 this season in Frost Arena Wednesday with a 68-49 win over IUPUI. Kerri Young led four Jacks in double digits in scoring with a game-high 20 points.
Oral Roberts lost its last two games, including 69-47 to South Dakota Wednesday. The Golden Eagles are 10-7 overall and 2-2 in the league and fifth in The Summit League standings.
Saturday's game is the 18th meeting between the Jackrabbits and the Golden Eagles. State leads the all-time series, 11-6, has won the last six games in the series and is 3-4 on the road vs. ORU.
Noteworthy
- South Dakota State sports a 5-3 overall road record, but is 1-1 in Summit League play. The Jacks defeated North Dakota State, but lost at South Dakota.
- South Dakota State is 58-19 (.753) all-time in Summit League road games and has won 9 of its last 13 road contests. Last year, it went 6-2 in league road contests.
- The Jackrabbits are 233-81 (.742) in all-time games since joining The Summit League in 2007-08.
- The Jacks have won 42 of their last 50 league games, dating to a 63-57 win over IUPUI Jan. 9, 2014.
- Of its eight Summit League opponents in the last 10 years, SDSU has five losses to IUPUI, four to South Dakota, two to North Dakota State and one each to Denver, Fort Wayne and Western Illinois. The most losses have been to Oral Roberts (6).

- SDSU has been ranked in the Mid-Major Top 25 Poll 92 of the last 93 weeks.
- With its 26 first-place votes in the preseason poll, SDSU is the first team in The Summit League history to earn a top national preseason ranking.
- The Jackrabbits were ranked first in the final 2015-16 poll, their highest-ever ranking.

- Guebert is currently SDSU's leading scorer, averaging 14.2 points per game. Young (13.1) and Thompson (11.4) are the other Jacks averaging double digits in scoring.

Glance at Oral Roberts
- Oral Roberts is 3-2 in its last five games and enters Saturday's game on a two-game losing streak after falling to South Dakota Wednesday.
- The Golden Eagles are 6-1 overall at home. Their six-game home win streak was snapped Wednesday.
- ORU is led offensively by junior transfer Lakota Beatty. The guard is averaging 13.9 points per game. The Golden Eagles are averaging 69.2 points per game.
- Junior forward Faith Ihim, senior guard Kaylan Mayberry and sophomore forward Maria Martianez are also averaging double digits, scoring 13.7, 11.4 and 11.4 points per game, respectively.
- Ihim averages a team-leading 7.8 rebounds. The Golden Eagles are being outrebounded by 0.7 caroms a game.
- Mayberry is dishing 2.8 assists per game.
- Beatty is Oral Roberts' top 3-point threat, sinking 49 3-pointers and shooting 45.5 percent overall.
- ORU has six players averaging 5-or-more points and nine averaging 10-or-more minutes per game.
- The Golden Eagles are shooting 41.0 percent from the field, 32.2 percent from 3-point range and 68.4 percent from the free-throw line.
Breaking Down the Oral Roberts Series
- Saturday's game will be the 18th meeting between SDSU and Oral Roberts—a series that began when the Jackrabbits joined The Summit League at the start of the 2007-08 season.
- The Jackrabbits lead the series 11-6 and have a 3-4 record at ORU. They have won the last two games in the Mabee Center.
- SDSU swept the series last year, winning, 68-50, in Tulsa, Jan. 27 and, 60-48, in Frost Arena Feb. 13.
- State and Oral Roberts have had one overtime game, the 2010 Summit League Championship game, Mar. 9, 2010.
- With SDSU leading 78-75 in the final 10 seconds of overtime, Kristin Rotert stripped Kevi Luper of the ball and then sank one of two free throws to seal the victory and send SDSU to its second consecutive NCAA Tournament.
