The South Dakota State men's golf team plays its regular-season finale this weekend when it travels to Iowa for the 24
th annual Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City.
The Hawkeye Invitational is a two-day, 54-hole event at the Finkbine Golf Course, a par-72, 7,186-yard course. The Jackrabbits tee off Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. with shotgun starts.
In addition to SDSU, the 14-team field includes Arkansas State (94), Denver (113), DePaul (186), Iowa (71), Iowa State (53), Kansas (41), Kansas State (112), Marquette (116), Minnesota (79), Nebraska (137), Texas Tech (10), Utah (107), and UMKC (165). The Hawkeyes are ranked 67th.
The Jackrabbits finished 14
th in their last outing at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Missouri.
Alejandro Perazzo led State, firing a three-round 227 (81-70-76) to tie for 31
st in the 96-player field.
For the season,
Alejandro Restrepo leads the team with a 74.69 stroke average over 26 rounds.
Grant Smith has a 74.70 stroke average and
Jaxon Lynn is third with a 75.50 stroke average and Perazzo fourth (76.59).
As a team, SDSU has a 298.21 stroke average and ranks fourth in The Summit League.
