INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – The South Dakota State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to IUPUI Friday morning at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis.

"It has been a long season for us," head coach
Joey J. Barnes said. "Our results haven't really reflected what we are truly capable of. We have learned a lot about who were are as a team and where our needs must go for us to be a competitive team. My hat is off to my seniors - Jonny and Lucas. They have truly matured and developed and will be extremely missed. It is now time to prepare for next year. I look forward to our returning members as well as some additions that we have acquired."
The Jaguars won the doubles point, claiming victories at No. 2 and No. 3.

Lucas Pereira captured the lone point for the Jacks, defeating Kyle Whittaker, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.

Emerson Styles and
Gabriel Santos were close to getting points for SDSU, but fell in three sets each.

The Jackrabbits finish the season going 3-18 overall and 0-4 in conference.
