Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles) SDSU: 2014-17
Weekly Notes: Goedert earned his third start in four weeks in the Thursday Night Football win against NFC East foe New York Giants, 34-13. He competed in 32 plays on offense and 16 on special teams, recording one catch for seven yards on his lone target of the night. He recorded one tackle and an assisted tackle while on the punting unit.

His catch came in the first quarter, opening play of the second drive for Philly. It was a short pass from QB Carson Wentz in the middle of the field.

On special teams, the tight end helped in tackling Giants' WR Odell Beckham on punt returns - holding him to one yard on a 44-yard punt in the second quarter and nine yards on a 50-yard punt in the fourth quarter.

Season Notes: Caught his first TD of his NFL career against the Indianapolis Colts (Sept. 23) on a 13-yard throw behind the linebackers - Goedert ran up the right seam and settled behind the secondary ... also added his most yards (73), catches (7), and targets (7) in the game vs. the Colts ... career-long is vs. the Colts - a 19-yard grab on a deep flag route to pick up a first down ... nearly grabbed his first career pass as a touchdown in the first game of the NFL regular season (vs. Falcons, Sept. 6) - 19-yard pass attempt down the right sideline where Goedert caught it but was only get one foot in the endzone ... recorded his first career catch in the third quarter, a four-yard grab against the Falcons (Sept. 6) ... has played 187 offensive snaps (52 special teams) and has had 15 targets for 13 catches and 113 yards and a touchdown through six games ... 2018 Preseason: scored his first touchdown in his debut preseason game, a 31-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers (Aug. 9) ... his most catches (four) and receiving yards (66) came in his preseason debut against the Steelers while his longest catch (28) came against the New England Patriots (Aug. 16) ... has gathered nine catches for 149 yards and one touchdown through three preseason games (132 offensive plays).

Adam Vinatieri (Indianapolis Colts) SDSU: 1991-94
Weekly Notes: Vinatieri scored 10 points going 2-of-2 on field goal attempts and 4-for-4 on point-after attempts as the Colts lost to the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, 42-34.

The placekicker helped the team tie the game - making a 21-yard field goal with 13:25 left to play. Two minutes later, the Jackrabbit alum kicked a 31-yarder, 13-10. The Jets responded by putting up 13 unanswered points and a 10-point lead going into the locker room.

The Jets added another score, making it 30-13 before Indy responded with their own TD with 8:44 to play in the third, making it 30-20. New York added three more field goals while Indianapolis scored two more touchdowns, but was not able to recover the onside kick with 1:51 - allowing the Jets to kneel out the clock.

He needs just 10 more points to pass Morten Andersen's all-time scoring mark of 2,544 points. At his current pace, Vinatieri could pass it as soon as the next game.

He is fourth all-time in games played (343) and needs just nine more games to tie Jeff Feagles for third all-time (352) and 10 more for tie Gary Anderson (353) for third all-time.

Bryan Witzmann (Chicago Bears) SDSU: 2010-13
Weekly Notes: Witzmann was waived on Oct. 5 by the Minnesota Vikings and did not play a snap with the team. The Chicago Bears signed him to the 53-man roster and placed LB Sam Acho on Injured/Reserve. He is listed as the back-up right guard on the depth chart. He wasn't active in the 31-28 overtime loss in Miami last Sunday afternoon.
