MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The South Dakota State men's tennis team was defeated 5-2 by Green Bay Sunday morning.

"Tough weekend," head coach Joey J. Barnes said. "We had some very good matches and competitive monuments. We raised our competition spirits while doing what we could to move our bar slightly higher."

The Phoenix swept doubles to win the point.

Carlos Martinez captured another win at No. 4 with a 2-6, 6-3, 11-9 victory.

Elliot Ward also won his match at No. 5 with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 defeat.
