IOWA CITY – The South Dakota State men's tennis team fell to Iowa 0-2 in a doubleheader Sunday afternoon.

The Hawkeyes won the first match 7-0 and the second 6-0.

"Today was a tough day," Ffion Davies said. "We have to give credit to Iowa, they came and really pushed our guys, and did a great job. Moving forward we need to regroup and focus our attention on Summit League matches."

In the first match, Iowa swept doubles and singles.
 Carlos Martinez was the closest to a win in the second match when he fell, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4.

The Jacks and the Hawkeyes didn't play doubles in the second match.
