COLUMBIA, Mo.—South Dakota State's
Jared Nicolls led the Jackrabbit men's golf team Tuesday at the final round of the Missouri Tiger Invitational presented by COG.
After shooting a first-round 317, SDSU shaved 10 strokes in the second round and six more in the final round to finish 17
th with a 925 (317-307-301) on the par-72, 7,221-yard The Club at Old Hawthorne. Missouri, ranked 40th, won the 19-team tournament, shooting an 839 (275-283-281).
Nicolls improved 27 strokes and tied for 46
th with a 225 (80-74-71). He collected nine birdies in the tournament.
Jacob Otta tied for 49
th, his highest finish of the season, shooting a career-low 70 in the second round and finishing with a 226 (80-70-76).
Alejandro Perazzo tied for 83
rd (80-79-75=234),
Max Donohue placed 100
th (77-86-82=245) and
Naqiuddin Fuad 101
st (83-84-79=246).
Playing as an individual,
Michael Duch tied for 90th (75-81-80=236).
