The South Dakota State men's golf team concludes its regular season with a stop at the Hawkeye Invitational this weekend in Iowa City, Iowa.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament is at the par-72, 7,239-yard Finkbine Golf Course. The Jackrabbits will have a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start Friday and a 9 a.m. shotgun start Saturday.
In addition to SDSU, the 13-team field includes Arkansas State, DePaul, Drake, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Marquette, Minnesota, Michigan State, Nebraska and UMKC.
Last year in the Hawkeye Invitational, the Jackrabbits finished 14
th while
Alejandro Perazzo tied for 55
th, shooting a 226 (75-78-73).
Earlier this week, South Dakota State finished 17th at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Missouri.
Jared Nicolls led State, firing a three-round 225 to tie for 46th in the 103-player field.
For the season, Perazzo leads the team with a 75.15 stroke average. Nicolls is second on the squad with a 75.50 stroke average and a top-five finish.
South Dakota State has a 304.8 stroke average.
