2018 Summit League Men's Golf Championship |
It's has been 10 years since a Summit League men's golf team has won three consecutive championships. South Dakota State looks to end that stretch this weekend when it plays in the 2018 Summit League Championship in Newton, Kansas.

The Jackrabbits won last year's title by coming from behind and win by two strokes. For the 2016 title, SDSU led from start to finish, winning by 11 strokes.

The 54-hole championship features 18 holes each day with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday at the par-72, 6,733-yard Sand Creek Golf Club.

South Dakota State comes into the championship with a 305.4 stroke average and
Alejandro Perazzo and
Jared Nicolls among the top 20 in the league.

Perazzo leads the Jackrabbits with a 75.29 stroke average and 10 rounds at par or below. His best finish this season came at the Jackrabbit Invitational, placing 17
th. Perazzo was sixth at the 2016 championship and tied for 18
th last year.

Nicolls will be making his first appearance in The Summit League Championship. He enters the weekend with a 75.75 stroke average. His best outing this season was at the Homewood Hilton Airport Invite, tying for third.

Jaxon Lynn returns to the lineup for the Jackrabbits. He is making his third Summit League Championship appearance after tying for 18
th last year and in 2016.

Jacob Otta and
Max Donohue will play in their first Summit League championship.

The Summit League champion receives an automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Regionals held May 14-16 in North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, Florida, Oklahoma or California.
