South Dakota State equestrian hits the road for a pair of conference meets, taking on UT Martin Thursday and No. 10 Delaware State on Friday.
The Jackrabbits (0-2) come off a pair of road losses to ranked opponents No. 8 TCU and No. 4 Oklahoma State. The team will look to bounce back after showing a lot of potential with strong rides from new riders along with seniors

Both meets will be held at UT Martin's Ned McWherter Agricultural Pavilion in Martin, Tenn. with Thursday's competition slated to begin at 10 a.m.
The start of Friday's neutral site meet against DSU will follow the final two events between UTM and DSU, starting at 9 a.m.
UTM (0-2)
The Jacks are 5-12 overall against UTM having won four of the last nine matchups and 1-0 in both Jumping Seat only and Western only meets. The Skyhawks opened their season 0-2 with losses to Auburn and Oklahoma State before defeating Miami (Ohio) 13-11 in an exhibition meet Oct. 4.
DSU (2-1)
The Hornets started their season off with a pair of conference wins against SUNY New Paltz and UC Davis, but lost their most recent meet to Baylor on Oct. 5. SDSU is 5-5 all-time against DSU and 1-0 in Western only meets.
Notes
- Senior Jessica Martinez is currently fourth all-time in career Fences wins at SDSU with 16, only five wins away from the record of 21 held by Santana Wright (2010-14).
- Martinez also sits seventh at SDSU in career meets competed with 34, eight away from the top spot of 42, held by both Wright and Jordan Goodall (2011-15).
- Jordan Gates is currently third in all-time Horsemanship wins with 14, six away from the school record of 20 held by Kelsey Swainston (2013-2017).
