For the first time in five years, the South Dakota State women's basketball team will be playing for The Summit League regular-season title when it hosts Western Illinois Saturday. Tip is 2 p.m. in the friendly confines of Frost Arena. The game is sponsored by First Bank & Trust.

Sydney Palmer,
Madison Guebert and
Macy Miller—will be honored. In the past four years, the trio has a combined record of 98-29 (77.1) entering the game.

SDSU enters Saturday's game atop The Summit League standings with a 14-1 record and a 22-6 overall mark. The Fighting Leathernecks are fifth at 8-7 in league play and are 12-16 overall.

Macy Miller led three players in double-digit scoring with a game-high 28 points.

Western Illinois has lost its last three games. WIU dropped a 94-85 game at Denver Thursday.

Saturday's game is the 26th meeting between the Jacks and Fighting Leathernecks. South Dakota State leads the series 23-2 and has won the last four.

- For the third week in a row, South Dakota State received votes in The Associated Press poll with 22 votes and third time this season it received votes in the USA Today Coaches poll. The last time the Jackrabbits had more than 22 votes in the AP poll was Nov. 16, 2009, when they received 31. The highest SDSU has ever been ranked is 16th in the Associated Press poll March 9, 2009, and 14th in the Coaches poll March 2, 2009.
- SDSU has a 493-121 (.802) all-time record in home games. In Summit League home games, the Jacks are 90-8 (.918) and undefeated in six of 11 seasons.
- The Jacks are 293-100 (.745) all-time since joining The Summit League in 2007-08.
- The Jackrabbits will be playing for their seventh sweep of a Summit League opponent this season.
- For the third time since joining The Summit League, SDSU is off to a start of 14-1 or better.
- SDSU's 12-game win streak is the longest since the 2008-09 team won 12 in a row between Jan. 19 and March 20. The streak ranks eighth in the NCAA. South Dakota State also has streaks of 10 wins vs. conference teams (11th), eight at home (13th) and five road wins (19th).
- In the last four games, Tagyn Larson has made 29 of 35 field goals (.829), is six of eight from 3-point range and nine for 10 from the foul line. She's averaging 18.3 points per game and 8.0 rebounds an outing.
- Madison Guebert is shooting 43.3 percent (13-30) from 3-point range in the last five outings. She ranks 18th in the NCAA in 3-point field goals made (83).
- South Dakota State was ranked second in Graham Hays' Feb. 20 espnW mid-major poll.
- Macy Miller has scored 20-or-more points 10 times. She averages a team-leading 17.2 points.
- In the last five games, Miller is averaging 17.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 58.0 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from 3-point range and 80.6 percent from the free-throw line.
