After nearly a month off from competition, the South Dakota State men's golf team opens April playing in the third annual Missouri Tiger Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Columbia, Missouri.
The 54-hole event is at the Club at Old Hawthrone, a par-72, 7,221-yard layout. The tournament will consist of 36 holes Monday, with the final round set for Tuesday morning. Teams will have 8 a.m. shotgun starts both days.
Competing alongside the Jackrabbits are Central Arkansas, Drake, Illinois State, Kansas State, Missouri, Missouri State, Morehead State, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, TCU, SIUE, UMKC and Hutchinson Community College.
Jared Nicolls leads the Jackrabbits with a 73.70 stroke average that also ranks sixth in The Summit League. He has a top-five and a top-10 finish and six rounds at or below par.
Jacob Otta is second on the team with a 74.35 stroke average and a top-10 finish.
