| South Dakota State at Jack Johnson Classic Hosted by University of Minnesota |
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits hit the road for the first time this season on Saturday at the Jack Johnson Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m. at the University Field House located west of TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota's campus.
Unlike the SJAC's 300 meter track, Minnesota's University Field House holds a 200 meter track.
"For those athletes on the track, exposure to a flat 200 meter track does make a difference," said head coach
Rod DeHaven. "Our conference championships will be held on a six lane, 200 meter track, so it'll give the athletes in the 200, 400 and perhaps the 800 an idea of what that's going to feel like."
