SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State University placed second among Summit League member institutions with 111 student-athletes earning distinction on the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence for the recently completed 2019-20 academic year, league officials announced Wednesday. In addition, three Jackrabbit squads were recognized with Team Academic Achievement Awards.
SDSU's 111 student-athletes combined for 120 honors as nine Jackrabbit runners were recognized in both cross country and track and field. League-wide, 757 student-athletes were honored across 17 sports.

Receiving Summit Team Academic Achievement Awards were the Jackrabbits' men's cross country, women's soccer and men's track and field squads. Team Academic Achievement Awards are based on the percentage of list-eligible student-athletes on the Commissioner's List.
