South Dakota State will play in the 2021 Summit League Volleyball Championship Tournament as the No. 6 seed after finishing the regular season with an 18-11 (10-8 SL) record. The Jackrabbits will open the tournament Thursday, November 25 at 7 p.m. against No. 3 Denver in Vermillion, S.D.
Tickets will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. on the
South Dakota website . All matches will be played at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center on the University of South Dakota campus.
Denver goes into the tournament with a 23-5 overall record and 14-4 Summit League mark. The Pioneers won both meetings with the Jackrabbits earlier this season.
The winner between SDSU and Denver will advance to take on South Dakota in the semifinal round Friday. The championship match is slated for Saturday afternoon. The champion will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
The Jackrabbits are making their first trip to the Summit League postseason since 2010 and third appearance overall.
