BROOKINGS— The South Dakota State equestrian team secured its third consecutive win Saturday against Minnesota-Crookston. The meet featured only Western events and was highlighted by a pair of MOP performances, one in both Horsemanship and Reining.

Beginning with Reining, the Jacks picked up the four possible points quick when three riders from Minnesota-Crookston fell short in the score column.Â
Cassandra Townsend's opening ride of 72 was enough to earn MOP honors, whileÂ
Natalie Gydesen (67),
Isabelle Riggs (69) and
Cassidy Gardiner (69.5) converted for SDSU.
SDSUÂ split with the Golden Eagles in Horsemanship.
Jadyn Taylor would earn MOP honors for her 72.5 score, while
Callyn Fox scored 60 for SDSU. SDSU's other two riders,
Shelby Cochran (67.5) and
Kodi O'Boyle (70.5), fell to their opponents by just one point each.
Up next, SDSU will take a month break to hone their skills in the DeHaan Equestrian Center before heading to Martin, Tenn. for the 2021 ECAC Championship meet March 27 and 28.
